A Brief about ‘Aamir Kaleemi Arabic College’

Aamir Kaleemi Arabic College was established to fulfilling the dream of its founder Sufi Saint Peer Syed Muhammed Omer Aamir Kaleemi Shah Hazrath Qibla who wished to start an Arabic college where Islamic Studies and Modern Curriculum are taught together.

The college was solely run by A.M.G. Trust which was started and managed by the revered sons of our founder Peer Syed Muhammed Omer Aamir Kaleemi Shah Hazrath Qibla, with a high motto of helping to develop and raise our Islamic Community in all walks of life

To serve our Community, the ‘Ulama’ (Scholars) need to be well versed in other branches of studies along with the religious studies. Hence to prepare Qualified ‘Ulama’ (Scholars) who are also graduates in other branches, ‘Aamir Kaleemi Arabic College’ was established with a vision to look forward to be a pioneer in the field of Islamic Studies to promote Islamic Scholars, capable of bringing about positive change for the betterment of self, family, society and humanity on the basis of moderate ideology derived from the Holy Quran and Sunnah

Our ‘Aamir Kaleemi Arabic College’ was started in the year of 2007 at a small place in Triplicane, Chennai. At the first year, there were 12 students and 5 teachers. It was run for 2 years there at Triplicane, Chennai.

In the year 2009, it was shifted to a huge spacious campus with a peaceful environment suitable to learn at ease, which is located at Kannur village, Pannur Post, near Sunguvarchatram on the Chennai – Bangaluru National Highway near Sriperumbudur.

Year by year the college is growing, and by the Grace of Allah SWT, in this year, we have 210 Students, 20 Teachers and 8 Non-Teaching Staff.

We admit students who passed 8^th standard or its equivalent and passing through our Entrance Test. Usually more than 200 candidates are appearing for the entrance test every year and we are selecting only 25 students out of them purely on merit basis. We never compromise in our policy of providing quality education to deserving candidates.

In the present scenario, the normal scholars (Aalims) who lacks in academic education and English knowledge are facing stringent financial situation and feel hard to cope up with the general public and conveying any messages to them.

But, because of the dual educational mode and proficiency in English, which we offer in our Arabic College, the out coming Aalims (Scholars) are having financial freedom and easily mingle with the general public and easily convey their message to any kind of people without fear or favour to guide them in the right path.

We impart the 7 year ‘Aalim’ course with full fledged knowledge of regular Arabic Madrasas and alongside we gave them complete academic education to enable them to complete a graduation course from recognized universities. The scheme of our college is as follows:

The ultimate aim of the College is that, to prepare every student as a ‘Graduated Aalim’ to serve the community. Being an ‘Aalim’ with sufficient knowledge, esteem and as he would be a graduate such as B.A., /B.Com. /B.B.A.,. etc., this will be a great boon for the community. Apart from the regular scheme, the interested students are encouraged and given guidance to pursue higher/professional courses like Chartered Accountancy (C.A.).

All our students appearing for the Board Examinations conducted by the State Government are scoring above 80{704b2c7fe5acc4edd4039792443cafc271329fda03c7fb49a7977b6d114e4ea7} of Marks in every year. They are surpassing the students studying in regular schools and concentrating only on academics. But, by the grace of Allah SWT, our students are studying Arabic, religious languages and Academic subjects simultaneously and achieving greater heights. Alhamdulillah, All the praise be to Almighty.

All these facilities are provided for free of cost to every student. They are also provided free food and hostel facility. We always give preference for the children belonging to the below average economy group. Most of the students are from remote villages and have poor economic background.

By the Grace of Allah SWT, one of our student completed the ‘Aalim’ course and B.Com., degree from University of Madras and also within this 7 years period he memorized full Holy Quran and became ‘Haafiz’. He will be receiving the ‘Haafiz’ degree along with his ‘Aalim’ degree.

By the end of last academic year (2014 – 2015), two sets of our students (23 students) have successfully completed their course and awaiting their degrees (Sanad)

In our college the students are trained to be proficient in the languages of Arabic, Tamil, English and Urdu.

On behalf of the College, a monthly magazine by name ‘Aamir Kaleemi’ is published in which the students are writing on various religious and general topics. This helps to make them expertise in writing too.
